What is the format of this year’s Evidence Matters and when will it take place?

Evidence Matters ’21 is a global online event, and takes place on October 19, 2021. It’s a 4-hour event that includes a keynote and two breakout sessions. Run in parallel, the breakout sessions consist of three one-hour industry sessions for literature review professionals working for medical device companies, HEOR practice areas, and public sector organizations. After the industry breakout, there will be three one-hour sessions on new innovative advances for DistillerSR. All sessions will be recorded and made available to attendees.

Who should attend Evidence Matters ’21?

The event is ideal for professionals that use literature review software. These can include medical writers, epidemiologists, health economic and outcomes researchers, librarians, scientists and data scientists, and regulatory and clinical affairs, pharmacovigilance and drug safety professionals, among others. Evidence Matters ‘21 will be web-based, so all you will need is a computer and an internet connection.

Will there be networking opportunities with other users? How are you going to offer that benefit online?

Yes. Evidence Matters ’21 will have chats dedicated to session topics, announcements and more. In addition, we’ll have online polling.

How will content be structured for Evidence Matters ‘21?

The Evidence Matters ’21 Content team works with breakout session leaders to solicit, review, and determine the best content for attendees. The process for collecting and deciding on content remains the same. We solicit ideas from employees and customers.

World Evidence-based Healthcare (EBHC) Day supports the infodemic management efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) by exploring the role of evidence in an infodemic, in particular promoting access to trustworthy, evidence-informed health information.
