Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest exists when investigators, authors, institutions, reviewers, or editors have financial or non-financial relationships with other persons or organizations (such as study sponsors) or emotional investments in research projects, or the outcomes of projects, that may inappropriately influence their interpretation or actions. Conflicts of interest can lead to biased design, conduct, analysis or interpretation of study results.
